3º ANDERTON Thomas, beneditino inglês. Nascido em Lancashire em 1611, fez profissão no mosteiro de Saint-Edmond em Paris em 1630, e ali foi sucessivamente mestre de noviços, subprior e prior. Foi depois prior de Saint-Benoit em Saint-Malo, e tornou-se novamente prior de Saint-Edmond. Morreu na Inglaterra em 1671. Escreveu a seguinte obra: History of the Iconoclasts, during the reign of the emperors Leo Isauricus, Constantin Copronimus, Leo the 4th, Constantin and Irene, Leo the Armenian, Michael Balbus, Theophilus, Michael III, and Theodora, s. l., 1671, in-8°.
