1º ANDERTON Laurent, jesuíta inglês, nascido em Lancashire em 1575, era ministro anglicano quando abjurou a heresia. Admitido ao noviciado de Roma em 1604, passou alguns anos no colégio inglês em Roma, retornou à Inglaterra e morreu em Lancashire, superior da missão, em 17 de abril de 1642. Deixou três obras de controvérsia, que são anônimas: One God, one Faith, 1625, in-8°; The progenie of catholicks and protestants, Rouen, 1633, in-8°; The triple cord; or a Treatise, proving the truth of the roman catholic religion by the Bible, Saint-Omer, 1634, in-4°.
